REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
This Diamond Business Association, Inc. (“DBA”) dba Southeastern Diamond Business District is accepting proposals from Bike Shops to for the competitive selection of a bike shop for the Bike the Diamond Business District campaign.
Introduction: May is Bike Month! The Diamond Business Association will execute the Bike the Diamond Business District campaign that includes two components:
The first is to encourage people to bike around the district. People will be encouraged to take a picture of themselves riding their bike around the district and submit their photo to us in order to enter to win a bike safety prize.
The second component is to hire a bike shop to come to the local farmer’s market every week and provide free bike inspections for people who ride their bike to the market and give bike safety tips to people.
Services to be Performed:
- Set up a booth at the People’s Produce Night Market every Wednesday in May (4th, 11th, 18th, 25th) from 5pm-8pm and provide bike inspections to people who ride their bikes to the market
- Educate market attendees on basic biking safety by provide tips
- Distribute 60 bike safety items, such as helmets, night-lights, headlights, bells, safety mirrors, repair kits etc, for the photo contest.
Payment Terms: Progressive payment terms beginning with initial payment upon delivery of equipment and three subsequent equal payments each Wednesday in May with the final payment payable the last day at the market, May 25, 2016.
